Yesterday marked the 50th anniversary of one of my favorite books, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. It is such a wonderful classic and beloved by so many! I don't know what books will be hitting that publishing milestone in 50 years, but here are some that have come out recently that I love! Perhaps they will make your little one happy too! The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywelt Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site by Sherri Duskey Rinker Spoon by Amy Krouse Rosenthal Unicorn Thinks He's Pretty Great by Bob Shea Flora and the Flamingo by Molly Idle What are some of your favorite picture books? I would love to hear what your kids enjoy!

Mark your calendars because Penny Simkin is coming to Chicago! May 16th and 17th...Event details are HERE If you are curious about the wonderful things this woman can share with you, get a taste over at her You Tube Channel. I like her explanation of pain verses suffering, seen below. If you have had me for your doula, inside my bag is the book, The Birth Partner. I highly recommend it to expectant parents and birth workers. It is on pretty much every doula certification reading list I know of and for good reason. She makes information approachable and easy to use. So if you can go, great! If you can't, visit her channel and read her books. She is a wonderful teacher. |
